A darning mushroom is an mushroom-shaped tool, which is inserted into a knitted or crocheted item to hold it in the proper shape and provide a foundation for making repairs.

This Darning Mushroom is hand-turned. The base is either cherry or walnut and the mushroom top is maple.

It measures approximately 4" tall and 3" in diameter, and weigh approximately 2.5 to 3 ounces ounces.

It is hand sanded to an extremely fine finish, assuring a smooth surface to prevent snags or pulls in your yarn. A hand-rubbed finish brings out the natural beauty of the wood.
